16th September - Sweden's Lulea International Film Festival:  The Barn becomes Finalist for category of Best Short Film Debut

​

30th August - South America Film & Arts Academy Festival announces awards in 7 categories for The Barn, with the honour of a public screening on 31st August.

30th August - The Barn receives an Honourable Mention from Italy's Reale Film Festival for Original Story or Idea

22nd August, Debut public screening during the Chichester International Film Festival, featuring as a part of the Festival Shorts Showcase (click here for details)

August 2024 - IMDb rating hits another new high at 43,523

​

Sunday, 4th August, 2024 - Premiere screening, including press, cast & crew red carpet and drinks, networking.

1st August - Sussex World and Chichester Observer publish a 2nd article featuring Lena Richardson (Mary). click here

26th July - Sussex World and Chichester Observer publish cover of The Barn, highlighting Kate Winslet's support. click here

19th July - Test Screening took place at Chichester Cinema, and attended by Jonathan Brooker (Director), Paul Burton (Editor), Petrina Rodwell (Producer), Matt Summerfield (Co-Composer), Matt Goddard (Assistant Producer), with Mark the wizard projectionist in the driving seat.

July 2024 - Film Freeway marketing begins ahead of national and international film festival submission campaigns

May 2024 - Post-production commences with initial editing, sound effect design, and scoring

​

April 2024 - Primary photography / Film Shoot took place with full compliment of cast and crew

​

April 2024 - IMDb rating hits a new high of 51,230

​

March 2024 - Jonathan Brooker (Director) presents Chichester Filmmakers and The Barn production to Chichester City Council's Arts Forum.

February 2024 - Fundraising campaigns begin to help provide critical financial support to the production and post-production phases of The Barn

​​

January 2024 - Chichester Filmmakers is launched with their first ever event.  Held in Chichester and attended by 50+ people from the local community, education, charities, film industry professionals from Sussex, Hampshire and London, with special guest presentations from New Zealand, Hollywood, London, and in-person.

The Barn has holds its first pre-production meeting, with more than 25 attending.

December 2023 - Jonathan Brooker (Director) recruits DoP, Ivana Raicivic, Mira El Bacha (1st AD), and long time production collaborator Gavin Saville,  to begin planning and sketching production design, style, colour and lighting.

November 2023 - Jonathan Brooker (Director) and the production team decide upon the story and begin location scouting, whilst agreeing on 'The Barn' as a working title, whilst starting crew recruitment.  Focussing initially on costume and wardrobe, story and script development.  Petrina Rodwell (Producer) joins the team to initially assist with planning, casting and organising the launch event.

October 2023 - Jonathan Brooker and Petrina Rodwell meet with film industry professionals to begin reviewing potential stories for film production

September 2023 - Jonathan Brooker and Petrina Rodwell and industry professionals finish researching and begin brainstorming ideas with local charities and organisations which would ultimately lead to the creation of Chichester Filmmakers
